Iain spent a bit of time this afternoon napping with dad. Mom took the opportunity to catch a quick picture.

Day two has been fun. Iain has been learning to eat, and dad has been learning how to clean up with the by product of eating. Mom and Iain are both adjusting to eating every three hours, although meals for baby are still a bit of trial and error. Just before the nap pictured above was today’s 2pm feeding, which was interrupted by a crying Iain and a dirty diaper. After refusing to eat anything else while his diaper was dirty, dad proceeded to change him. It was a sticky mess as usual, but no sign of any urine…oh wait, he wasn’t done with that part yet. So a quick sponge bath later he was back to eating and I was cleaning pee off of his bassinet.

We went for a walk in the afternoon before all three of us settled in for a nap. Iain almost won the prize for heaviest baby, but we found a 9 1/2 pounder. The smallest award went to a set of triplets all weighing in at a little under 2 lbs. Iain slept through the entire walk, hopefully he will continue his good sleeping habits. He has been very well behaved, loves to be held tight, and holding pretty much always stops his crying when he gets held. He is a great crier though…very loud. We really can’t wait to hear him cry in the middle of the night.

We should be going home tomorrow, and Iain will get to meet his brothers and sister. We are not really sure what the cats will think of him. I am certain that they will like him more now than they will in about 18 months.
